GeoNotify application provides the possibility to set various Point of Interest (POI) for GPS map. When the user goes on a trip, the Android device gives out a signal when the user approaches a particular POI.The application allows to set both active and inactive status of POI.For example, it can be used to avoid missing your bus stop or to remind you to visit a supermarket to do your shopping when you are
close to it. The distance of approaching to POI can be set as for 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 meters. The user can also set the frequency of updating GPS for 5, 30, 60 or 120 seconds to optimize use the battery resource. The application can work with GPS or with a cellular network depending on accepted signals.
Now GeoNotify can also send Twitter and SMS messages if you approach POI or leave it. Both Twitter “in and out” messages could be customized for every POI. The application provides ability to switch on or switch off all Twitter messages in Settings. This allows users very easy announce via Twitter or SMS "I am home" or "I am on in my dancing classes". or "I am leaving my office, meet you for dinner".
